Astro Domes by BlindAssassin

Astro Domes by BlindAssassin

Now you might be wondering, what is with these names? Well bless your heart, Astro Domes are themed around cities in Texas (mostly). Shiner, Pepper, Whatadome, Weird, Lean, Fiesta, and Big D reference the cities Shiner, Waco, Corpus Christi, Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas (respectively). The name, Astro Domes, is also a reference to the famous stadium in Houston. And another fun fact, the top of each dome is a T20 torx drive, so do with that what you will.

The goal of Astro Domes was to replicate the feel of OG BKE and BKE Redux, meaning a snappy, highly tactile dome, but with a closed top in order to have a better sounding build overall. I can confidently say we have achieved that goal with ease. So no more need to make WTB posts for ridiculous amounts of money only to be short a few domes for your build and waiting another year to find more.

Weights:*

  • Shiner (Amber): 35g
  • Pepper (Burgundy): 50g
  • Whatadome (Orange/ White): 60g
  • Weird (Green/Black): 70g
  • Lean (Purple): 90g
  • Fiesta (Teal/Pink/Orange Swirl): 120g
  • Big D (Blue/Gray Swirl): 160g [To be released at a later date]
  • Texas Tea (Crude Oil Brown): 500g

*Weights are measured without a spring and are averaged. Listed weight is at the peak of the tactile bump. Some variation is expected.

  • Whatadome: The middle child
  • Weird: BKE Redux Light
  • Lean: BKE Redux Heavy
  • Fiesta: BKE Redux Extreme
  • Big D: Heavier than all BKE Redux options
  • Texas Tea: Like breaking your fingers, but now with a cup of sugar in your daily cup of crude oil.
